The personal version …

OK, so here’s my personal privacy statement.

First and foremost, I built Addeeze to help you to improve your life. Living with AD(H)D is truly a challenge, and every unique individual that is cursed (or, at times, blessed?) with this condition is engaged in a lifelong search to find better ways of dealing with their messy mind. Not all solutions work equally well for every individual (because everyone is different), but I really hope this solution I’ve created works for you. I just ask a small fee for my trouble, and that’s about it.

So, in short, apart from being really thankful that you have decided to use the solution I’ve created, I’m not interested in who you are, what you do, how you spend your time clicking on my site etc. etc. So, in other words, I’m not keeping track of everything you do or post. I’m not creating personalized user profiles to sell them to other parties for advertising etc. The internet is already filled with sharks who try to monetize on your preferences — I don’t want to be one of them.

I’m only keeping track of web traffic in general (not personalized!) to optimize server load, bandwidth, improve security etc.

So, if you delete a task (and remove it from the trash bin, of course), it’s gone. Completely. No backup. If you decide to cancel your service, and delete your entire profile, it’s also gone. Completely. Oh, hang on … that’s not entirely true; I *am* legally obliged to keep financial records of all your payments to me (for which I thank you from the bottom of my heart!) for a period of 7 years. Otherwise, the tax people might get mad at me.

The only personal information I store that could be traced back to you, is your email address, that also serves as the login name of your account at Addeeze.

Any personal information that you might add to the planning tool is shared with Addeeze at your own discretion and risk. Again: I have no interest in this information at all, but, sadly, I also cannot guarantee the system I built is 100% safe against hackers, dataleakers and other malevolent entities. So keep that in mind when adding sensitive information to the system.

What I collect

  • Your email address. This is your login and the only personal detail I store in my database.
  • Session data. A single session cookie keeps you logged in. No analytics cookies. No marketing cookies.
  • Technical logs. Like most websites, the server records standard logs such as IP address, timestamps, requested URLs, and user agent to keep things secure and performant.


Why I collect it, and the legal bases

  • To create and run your account, keep you signed in, and deliver the service you asked for (contract).
  • To keep the site secure and reliable, prevent abuse, and understand basic load on the servers (legitimate interests).
  • To meet legal duties, for example keeping financial records for tax purposes (legal obligation).


Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your payment details go directly to Stripe and do not touch my servers. Stripe may process data outside the EEA using approved safeguards.

Hosting and processors
Your data is hosted with TransIP in the Netherlands. I only share data with service providers who help me run the service: hosting (TransIP) and payments (Stripe). They act on my instructions and must protect your data.

Cookie details
I use one strictly necessary cookie.

  • Name: ADDEEZESESS
  • Provider: this website
  • Purpose: keeps you logged in and maintains your session as you move around the site
  • Type: first-party HTTP cookie, strictly necessary
  • Expires: when you close your browser. Server-side session data tied to this cookie is removed automatically after inactivity
       

What I do not do

  • No selling of personal data
  • No advertising profiles
  • No third-party trackers


What you put into the tool
Anything you add to the planning tool is up to you. If you delete a task and empty the trash, it is removed from the live system. If you delete your account, your profile and content are removed. Financial records of payments are kept for 7 years as required by law.

Retention

  • Account email: kept while your account is active, then deleted when you close your account.
  • Server logs: kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then deleted or aggregated.
  • Payment records: kept for 7 years to comply with tax laws.


International transfers
Where data is transferred outside the EEA by my providers, they use approved safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can contact me for more information.

Your rights
You can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any right, email chaos@addeeze.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Security
I use standard technical and organizational measures, including TLS encryption in transit and access controls.

Children
The application is suitable for all ages. I do not knowingly collect more data from children than is necessary to provide the service. I do not use marketing cookies or targeted advertising. If I ever introduce optional features that require consent, users under 16 will need consent from a parent or guardian as required by Dutch law.

Changes
If I change this statement, I will update this page and the effective date.
